You’ll notice a trend when you read about our team. Each one represents our philosophy and commitment to you in their own exceptional way. Our staff who answer the phone, greet you, and listen to your questions understand that most of our patients are nervous when they first call. They are ready to answer your questions. Our dental assistants have your comfort in mind and are ready to adapt and accommodate to your individual needs. It is our priority to give you a superior root canal and leave South Austin Microendodontics smiling.
At South Austin Microendodontics, your comfort and care are why we are all here. Everyone shares this goal, and that philosophy drew Megan to our practice in 2012.She loved the dentist growing up and has worked hard to grow knowledgeably in all aspects of the dental field to work in a compassionate environment. She keeps everything running smoothly and says, “I like to get things done. If there’s a better way to do it, I want to find it!” Megan is all about organization and structure and will wear any hat that needs put on for the day. In her time off, she plays tennis and works on DIYs around the house.
We are excited that Debbie joined us in 2017 with over 20 years of dental experience behind her. She comes to us with new eyes and a fresh perspective after overseeing a large corporate dental group. She loves managing the smaller team at South Austin Microendodontics where she can build relationships and really get to know our patients personally. “With my background, I can prepare people for the whole process from their root canal to getting the final crown with their family dentist.” Debbie is a personable and extroverted leader who genuinely likes people. She absolutely loves to read, has been married 25 years, and has two children.
Danielle is the warm and friendly face you will usually see when you first walk into South Austin Microendodontics. She grew up right around the corner in South Austin and was drawn to dentistry because, “I believe a smile can be the best characteristic of a person.” She was a dental assistant for three years before joining us in 2017, so she knows what it takes to help your appointment run smoothly from start to finish. When Danielle leaves work she gets to hang out with her young son, Isaiah, creating art with him and introducing him to her favorite R&B music.
“Our office is like a family. An absolutely awesome working family!” That’s how Mary, a native Texan, describes working at South Austin Microendodontics. She loves interacting with patients and making them feel comfortable and good about coming to our office. Mary genuinely likes people and spends time outside of work volunteering with her church. She also swims at Barton Creek and says the water feels warmer when the weather cools down. She has lived in South Austin since she was two years old, has been married for 25 years, and has two daughters.
Melissa relocated to beautiful Austin, TX in July. She comes to us with extensive experience from working at an endodontist’s office for 15 years in Michigan. She loves the hot Texas weather and is familiarizing herself with the city. Melissa sees a lot of anxiety when patients come in for a root canal, but her goal is to give them the best possible experience. “This job fits me perfectly,” she says. “I love being part of a team where everyone works together to take care of patients.” She loves to travel with her husband, who is a life coach and together they also have two children, a son and a daughter.

Kelly was waitressing when a coworker suggested, “You’re great with people and you know how to move quick. You would make a great dental assistant.” Great advice and we’re glad she took it! She joined us in 2013 and her warm, friendly, and fun personality has been comforting anxious patients ever since. Kelly is hands-on, intuitive, and adapts to her patient’s individual needs. When people ask her what it’s like to work here she says, “I commute an hour every day from Bastrop. If I didn’t respect these doctors and trust them implicitly, I couldn’t work here.” Kelly is an outdoor lover and spends as much time as she can golfing, fishing, kayaking, and hunting.

When Amber’s son was a year old, she took him to the dentist, scared and uncertain. A dental assistant answered her questions, calmed her fears, and in that one visit inspired her to become a dental assistant. We have been thrilled to have her on our team since 2014. Amber says people can get freaked out if they think they might get blind-sided. “I want to explain everything so they know exactly what’s happening. It calms them down.” Amber has two children and hangs out at the park with them and also watches as many movies as she can. Ask her for recommendations and tell her what movie is your favorite!

Selena grew up in Austin as the only girl in a family with four brothers and that early training taught her to go with the flow. “Every day is different here and I enjoy finding out what each patient needs to feel comfortable.” People often come in scared and she loves helping to calm their nerves by letting them know what to expect. She says, “A root canal is not that much different from having a cavity filled!” She’s been with us since 2016 and is another bilingual team member. Selena is passionate about live music and makes sure to attend several events each month.

Amber joined our team in 2017 after graduating from the Star of Texas Dental School. She says her mom always stressed great oral hygiene and even as a kid she wanted to be in dentistry. Her friendliness and sense of humor put patients at ease! She enjoys when the day is busy and eventually would like to study to become a hygienist. Amber moved to Austin in 2013 from Lubbock and loves that there are so many different restaurants here. If you’re a fellow “foodie”, why don’t you let Amber know about your favorite place to eat in town. She especially welcomes recommendations for sushi, Indian and great Italian restaurants.
